The latest public-beta having new studiomdl.exe compiler version and new models format (not really sure what it changes) are not compatible with any other Source Engine games. Strata Hammer can't read this new format, you will get instant crash with no crash report window. Here is archive with model of this format (it's a bucket with custom surfaceprop). thecoolprop.zip
