Describe the bug

The cross that appears in hammer's 3d view after pressin z, and that is supposed to disappear after pressing it again, sometimes disappears and sometimes doesn't with no apparent pattern. video

To Reproduce

1. Press "Z" in hammer's 3d view
2. A cross should appear in the center of said view
3. press "Z" again, and the cross either disappears or doesn't with a lack of any noticable pattern

Expected Behavior

When pressing "Z" after having pressed it once in the 3d view, the cross should totally disappear.

i guess it does, but i don't know if it's intended, because in every other version of hammer, the cross disappears when pressing z again
