Improved Water

Open CTH999 opened this issue 3 years ago • 2 comments

So, water right now is, illogical, to say the least. If you dig a hole beneath the ocean, it doesn't fill it. It won't artificially flow, and so on! So, here's my suggestions!

  1. If you dig a path for water, it flows
  2. If you dig a hole beneath water, it will fill the hole.
  3. A way to empty rooms of water, so you can build under-water buildings. But, they must be airtight! (Airlocks?)
  4. Wood will let water "seep" in
  5. Some metals rust
  6. Some metals work well
  7. Oceans are salt water, rivers are fresh, where they mix is now breackish!
  8. Waterfalls cause currents and eddies
  9. Rivers have current
  10. A way of transporting water (Aquaducts), drinking and irrigation!
  11. ocean currents?
  12. stronger currents in some places over others?

I think many of us have long wished for an overhaul of water physics. So you can dig proper canals, make waterfalls and lakes, etc. And certain item categories should drift with the water current, while other categories sink.

I think there's a fair chance of improvements with the introduction of boats in 10.0, but to what extent i do not know.
