Solve lategame food being irrelevant

Open 1ntrospect1on opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

Once people have 3 or 4 stars, they don't care about experience anymore, and only uses porridge or raw foods, or other cheap calories.

Experience simply isn't good enough an incentive. I suggest a +5% speed buff on work table processing, tool-usage, or running, on higher tier foods. Or a similar buff or incentive to eat high tier foods. Doesn't have to be a huge buff, but experience just doesnt cut it as an incentive, when people already have multiple specializations.

Edit: Other threads requesting that "cutting edge cooking" provides buffs in addition to exp.

Definitely something we're thinking about. Profession Limitations based on Food SP on WT are something I'm currently trying out to see how players generally react to food requirements till the very last day.

In My Opinion with the new Food Decay System, this issue probably resolved in my opinion for most servers, still some private servers with long running spotty online times (like mine) could probably use a way to remove all excess stockpiles of food from the server (because let's face it, it'll take some time to get the spoiling to the correct levels) - I know we could just start over, but the fact is ours is a long running game, between like 3 - 4 people and we all hate to lose progress.
