USER ISSUE: Audio Artifact Glitch

Steps to Reproduce: Leave game operating listening to ambient noise, waterfall is a good noise generator to work from.
After approximately an hour of playtime, the audio begins to artifact when the player begins to move around.
Resource pressures are low, temperatures hovering at a healthy 50 C for CPU and like 40 C on RAM, and hovering at like 30% RAM usage total. Nothing out of ranges and the memory setup is stable.
Expected behavior: Audio playing normally
Actual behavior: Audio artifacts when moving after extended play
Do you have mods installed? Does the issue happen when no mods are installed?: Yes, the issue occurs on modless own worlds.

I didn’t have this, BUT, after updating the game to 0.9.7.1, the sounds of the character’s steps disappeared altogether, now in the game the character moves at all like a cast (silently).
