I'd like to see what collation is currently in use in production for that table/column. My presumption is that it is different from what is considered common by today's standards...
@adamzap I need some time to dive in, no new thoughts at the moment.
I think it is still a nice albeit tiny improvement. Feel free to close or fix it 👍
