Experiment with "ram bundles"

Open hawkrives opened this issue 7 years ago • 2 comments

I've been seeing things about this for a few months now, and there's a bit of a description of them in this issue: https://github.com/react-native-community/discussions-and-proposals/pull/25

I'm just filing this so I can close the browser tab, really. I'd like to play with them once 0.57 is out and we've upgraded.

RAMBundles aren't a new feature in 0.57 and you should be able to use them without upgrading (I'm not sure what version you are on.) You can find more information about RAMBundles and Inline Requires from the performance page in the RN docs: https://facebook.github.io/react-native/docs/0.56/performance#unbundling-inline-requires

@TheSavior thanks! We're on 0.55 currently, which called them "unbundles" IIRC (or just didn't have them; I've been meaning to poke at this for a while now.)

I really appreciate the comment 😄 and I really like working with React Native, as well.
