feature request - pdf linking

Open cazacubogdan opened this issue 2 years ago • 1 comments

PDF links are elements within a document that direct users to a specific location within the same document or to an external resource. It includes a web page, file attachment, or even an email address. You can create links using text, images, or other elements within the PDF. Links let you jump to other locations in the same document or other documents, including websites, attachments, or an email address.

You can use links to initiate actions to ensure that users have immediate access to related information. You can also add actions to play a sound or movie file or create forms with submission events.

IMO, this feature should also include the ability to maintain/update existing links in the document. For instance, the TOC should still link to the associated pages, yet currently, the links go to the start of the document, which is not useful at all and confusing to end users of the created pdf.

@mjbergman92 This sounds like a bug if existing links are not being maintained, can you create a new ticket specifically for this and which feature(s) you were using that produce it

Any pull request or fork that tries to integrate this feature?
