API for pulling the data from external softwares

I would like to be able to pull the data from the plugin without going through the steps of exporting it as a CSV file. Is it possible for an API to be made so that there were an option to obtain the data?

I've already thought about adding an API for this. I need to think about how to do it better. But this will be sending all the data to the server.
