Battery issue on mediaserverd daemon
I realized this daemon kept running in the background even when the phone locked. This happens after the you used the camera app and close it into background. CPU usage of this daemon is constantly at 8-10% for hours as long as the camera app is not forcefully closed.
Similar thread was posted by someone on /r/jailbreak.
To clear out any suspicious, I compiled the IPA from your code. Not from someone else.
Thanks for the attention :)
Let me know if the issue is still present in RC0.
it's still present in RC1. i have a lot of battery drain and camera app is using it. thanks for the jailbreak though.
Tested out few days since. Findings:
- Using the unofficial release (compiled from here) - Battery drain very worst.
- Jumping from the unofficial release to RC1 (force reinstall bootstrap, all apps progress lost) - Battery drain is 0% AND TouchID works perfectly
- However, after the kernel panic and the phone reboot (rejailbreak using RC1), battery drain started again (same as unofficial release draining issue) and TouchID doesn't work.
Hopefully this might help in diagnosing the issue. @Sticktron
For me, Battery drain is still present in rc2. Soo sad, i hoped so much, it would be good now. (6s N71mAP, 10.3.3)
