FPS (and time) not shown when in scaled/fullscreen mode

On the DSi when in scaled (aspect) mode or fullscreen mode the FPS (and time if enabled) are not shown on the lower/other screen. FPS are only shown when the image is scaled down to 1:1 mode. I would expect the screens to be independent and that FPS is shown always (when enabled) regardless of image scaling mode.
