Runs out of memory? if many borders are used

When I'm testing out all the borders to see which ones I like, after I have tried many of them, the top screen starts freaking out. The two results I've gotten so far are: continually switching between two borders, unable to switch to another, and the game screen glitching out, flickering on one side, which seems like memory has run out, though I could be wrong.
