Here is the port to 1.21.9: https://github.com/coredex-source/noisium

Download the artifacts from the github builds itself, use the fabric builds for fabric and neoforge builds for neoforge: https://github.com/coredex-source/noisium/actions/runs/18193184904 OR Direct link: https://github.com/coredex-source/noisium/actions/runs/18193184904/artifacts/4164793410

I have opened a pull request too if it get merges that is. Should I just do a proper port at this point? I feel like I should. @Steveplays28 give me a heads up at least :3

I'd appreciate if just the official mod gets updated. But I can maintain a fork if required.

@coredex-source Hi Coredex, I appreciate that you did this. Maintaining a port of this mod is not worth the time though. I'm working on a rework of the mod, because it currently does far too little to justify the time it takes to even install it. I'm sorry that it doesn't do that much, it's around a few hundred microseconds to a millisecond for every 10000h of world generation. My apologies as well for the incorrect benchmarking information that was listed on the mod's page initially.

I'll put out a proper announcement both here and on Discord when I'm ready to release the rework. I'm working on a replacement server-side chunk manager, specifically. I wanted to release this at least a year ago, but it ended up taking a long time and I took a long break. In the meantime, you can track the progress on the chunk manager's repository.

@Steveplays28 Yeah well I do know it does not really help out all that much but is still better than nothing .. you can accept pull requests to keep the mod alive for the meantime tbh. I'll create a port if you don't want to do that as I do see a few improvements when using the mod.

If you don't want me to do that then that's fine too I won't create a port, but if you are alright with me creating a port then I'll gladly go ahead and do it.

I'd rather not have this mod be updated on Modrinth/CurseForge in its current state, because I don't think it does enough. I think that the rework will be significantly more worth the time for everyone than this mod as it is currently.

If you want to, feel free to upload a new version though. I'd also appreciate it if you marked it as a fork (e.g. in the name). Thank you.

I appreciate the permission. I will definitely mark it as a fork with all the proper credits.

Fork is up on curseforge and soon on modrinth too.
