This blocks Steam. Is it possible to set up a version that doesn't?

1- Steam cannot be downloaded from valve. 2- Installed Steam cannot open/login

It's hard to formulate a good reply since you provide no context. What rig are you using? What URLs are you using to access these things? More specifically, which domains are being blocked that prevent Steam login?

I think it may be safely closed given no specifics and no followup.

Maybe Steam was broken for some other reason unrelated to these lists?
