Hello! Thank you for opening your first issue in this repo. It’s people like you who make these host files better!
Thank you for this Loknath @lokeb.
Please provide reasons.
@StevenBlack The label you assigned this is making me giggle.
Interesting find here. There are four related domains that are logged when testing Google apps.
encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com
encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com
encrypted-tbn2.gstatic.com
encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com
Only one is found in this hosts file.
From what I gather, it appears to cause Google News and TV apps image failures.

~~I have not performed any tests to determine if there is tracking involved. I personally would doubt it.~~
Google shopping images are missing as well.
This is in fact a harmless domain. After poking around, it's a CDN for optimised images. Basically a cache. Requests are pretty basic. Used in a wide array of Google services. It wouldn't make sense to block only one of the handful of domains. I did block all of them and images failed to load in a lot of Google's apps/services.
@lokeb For the future, please make sure you include as much information as possible before opening an issue on GitHub. Reasons, examples, what you've tried, etc. It helps get issues off the ground to reach a resolution faster.
Hi @StevenBlack, would it be possible to remove this domain?
It is still blocking thumbnails for some users.
Thank you everybody. This is fixed in commit da336f27 which will be live and online in the next release coming shortly.
Closing.
