how feasible do you think 'selective excess' might be? for instance, soul gems the only soul gems I care about are black and grand ones, for enchanting... At that, I need no more than 20 or so, on hand so, I would like to keep ALL empty soul gems, and discard ALL soul gems, except for 20 of black ones, let's say? when I make a soul drain weapon, I use the lesser gems as currency... just sell 'em off
