Herschel 400 catalog
The Herschel 400 catalog could be added as a filter in the DSO tab. It was compiled in 1980 and consists of 400 objects observed by German/British astronomer William Herschel in the late 1700s. It is a great challenge for those who already observed all Messier objects.
List of objects can be found here: https://www.astroleague.org//wp-content/uploads/2022/02/h400lstn.pdf
This is not exactly catalog - this is a list of 400 objects from NGC/IC catalogs.
P.S. The list "Herschel 400" you may find in Search and in AstroCalc/WUT tools.
Ah yes, you're right. I was not aware of the list in AstroCalc, thanks.
This might remain open if someone feels it ought to be added and decides to do the required work.
The list hasn’t own designation for objects and just mixing catalogs and lists in one place is a bad idea

Hm, what about highlighting them in the sky once the list is selected? I feel a visual representation is very helpful here.
(This might go into that other request)

You can create an Observing list for the Herschel 400 list and use this tool for highlighting objects from the list ;)
