doesn't start on MacOS 12.4

after downloading it won't start up. I'm on the current MacOS version (12.4, MacbookPro M1 Max. Copied it to the Application folder like usual. Execution leads to a pop-up window stating: 1

I click "ok" and then go in Settings/Security&Privacy where it shows up and choose: "open anyways". 2

After that, a similar popup window opens again stating with the additional option to "open" - which I click. 3

then, nothing happens. No application is running or has crashed in the activity monitor nor can I find a 'graxpert' thread via the console.

any suggestions?
