Swipe to the left to go to next slide. Or tap in the right half also mobes forward, a tap on the left moves one slide back.

Hm, just checked, but even on my old iPad (1) from 2010 running iOS 5.1.1 the slides work smoothly.

that issue seems to be slightly different, as keystrokes work here on my tablet
