Finer density LED strips

not an "Issue" but something I'm working on for this, couldnt figure out how best to highlight the project. i got this running on my index this weekend and one thing i thought it to lack was a resolution with only 9 LEDs on each side. I'm prototyping a new set of LED strips that has 20 leds on each side. i am using the 4684 -ws2812B leds from adafruit which are significantly smaller than the normal ws2812 leds used. this allowed me to add a lot of more leds to each side. another thing with the smaller size is they arnt as bright, which is another thing i had issues with. the intended leds are BRIGHT! after some math the leds i chose have max 12ma, x40 you get 480ma. arduino nano base level is roughly 200ma and with a safety margin of x2, that's 400ma. the usb3.0 in the frunk should be .9a or 900ma so this should be under its max draw. math works out. we shall see how this works

Looks promising. Excited to see how it works out.

Board and LEDs have arrived and mostly assembled. Got the nano and Ambilight software rolling too. Need some double side tape to move forward

Finally got them installed into my headset! Th added resolution is a warm welcome and feel they have a better color. If I wanted more resolution I found 1035 LEDs that are even smaller. But for now I think I'm going to roll with this. Any video I make is too large but it looks good. Now if only I can get the weird mask from beat saber to go away and I can have full view PXL_20240421_191842462.jpg
