Dynamic Default Values Not Working

I'm not 100% sure if this is intended or not as I can't find anything about dynamic default values in the Static CMS Docs, but maybe it called something else?

In Decap docs it is described here: https://decapcms.org/docs/dynamic-default-values/

I have tried making this work but it seems like Static CMS is not responding to it. Is there a different way to do this in Static CMS than in Decap?

This is important for Open Authoring Editorial Workflow. Can anyone help me out with some info on this?
