Placeholder and text are hidden in Internet Explorer

The controls that have the "form-control-user" class hide the text and the placeholder only in IE

If I deactivate the "padding" property of the class "form-control-user" it works correctly

Although at this moment it is just happening to me with IE, it has also happened to me with Mozilla Firefox

The text of the placeholder will not shown in the forms for authentification. The error exist only by IE11 & Firefox 38.
