gg infer errors: unknown option: -plugin

I am trying to compile Inkscape and OpenCV but am running into errors with gg infer. In both cases the error seems to be the same:

For OpenCV

I am running gg infer make -j$(nproc).

Relevant system details:

• Ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS
• gcc (Ubuntu 7.5.0-6ubuntu2) 7.5.0
• g++ (Ubuntu 7.5.0-6ubuntu2) 7.5.0
• Inkscape version 1.2.2, OpenCV version 4.7.0
