ElasticSearch delay to start.

Open antiqued4 opened this issue 5 years ago • 5 comments

Hello guys, after updating to the new versions, I'm trying to delay the startup of elasticsearch, I changed the timeout time to 900, it takes between 2-3min to initialize. Java settings put min and maix 4gb of memory. Does anyone know what can it be?

If you have a lot of date it is normal it takes some time to initialize - it is a normal process. SELKS in general needs minimum 8GB to spin up.

new installation, I did today, I do not know if there is enough 1 or 2 GB of data. It has 8gb of memory, but in the Elastic documentation it says to leave half. But this VM is virtualized in a proxmox, I don't know if it would have anything to do.

Ok so it is not the data most likely. What is the sizing of the VM ?

1socket, 4 core, 8gb RAm 100gb HD.

Could be too much data stored fr 4GB and that's why it might be taking a bit too long?
