I think it should be a recommendation to use a micro pro with a USB-C connector. I have broken more micro USB off these than I care to mention 🙈

Pro micro with USB-C works without any changes to the code. The only modification I had to make was to the case, since the pro micro with USB-C was a little bit longer than with micro-USB.
