HEVC on Firefox macOS
Hello! https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/136.0a1/releasenotes/ --> Hardware-accelerated playback of HEVC video content is now supported on macOS
From bugzilla --> https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1924066
Thanks for the information, however it seems the feature still in testing status as nearlly half of videos in https://lf-tk-sg.ibytedtos.com/obj/tcs-client-sg/resources/video_demo_hevc.html can't not be played at all, or can play but fail to seek. could you reproduce this and report the issue to firefox?
Let's wait for firefox to fix the pending bugs before we sync the feature to this repo.
I think some fails are due to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1942404
Ah, It's good to hear that it's being fixed. Let’s just wait for the fix then.
Apparently Firefox fixed part of the issue but didn't fix all of it.
I filed a bug to report the remaining issue: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1945371
Hope firefox can fix them before they launch the feature.
