I checked both Release 1.2.1 with Microsoft Windows Fixes and the latest test build- srain-1.2.1-test8-mingw64.zip. No luck here- under Windows 8 x64 I could not open the link, screen:

I also noticed that the ASCII characters are not rendered properly, screen:

Are you aware of this problem?

Sign, for the second problem, I think the IRC server use a non-UTF-8 encoding, you specified prefered encoding via "encoding" opitons in server block, see https://doc.srain.im/en/latest/config.html#all-configurable-items

Yes, it is in plan, comes with GTK4 version.
