WriteZipToSetup.exe creates corrupted _ExecutionStub.exe

WriteZipToSetup.exe creates a corrupted _ExecutionStub.exe file when using the releasify command. The signtool cannot sign this file because it says its not a valid win32 application and it crashes the build process.

@notme1212 is it still an issue with the latest version of Squirrel?

the issue still exists with the latest version 2.0.1

Squirrel is no longer maintained, the last release was over 4 years ago. There are maintained alternatives like NetSparkle or Velopack.

hi @caesay, I am well aware of Velopack)) I even tried it and it is much more stable and easier to use, it is what Squirrel should have become in the first place but unfortunately, we got what we got... I am planning to upgrade our project to Velopack, but it will take some time, and we already have customers who face this issue. So I hoped maybe someone had any temporary solution or workaround at least for this issue ))
