Suggestion: Is there a way to merge the old generator with new structures?

I don't mean all of them, though having some new stuff like villages (if there's not), a stronghold and possibly more would be great. Not forcing anything because I understand that doing such thing would require managing not to make structures get broken by the old generation. Thanks in advance!
