When installing GOverlay mangohud is installed alongside... so the build script doesn't work because mangohud is installed... if i remove mangohud goverlay it's also removed. Why?
Oh, wait... after goverlay+mangohud is "installed" then i have to build mangohud from source for it to work? Confusing but it worked, discovered it by pure chance.
Oh, well. I guess it will do in the meantime.

This is very confusing to me. What is the version that is meant to be played?, can both mods co-exist?

Turrets have ammo storage inside them you know? 
Just rush at them, cut the convenior first and then destroy the turret.
