Limits for template location could be given as radius

Open alejoe91 opened this issue 6 years ago • 5 comments

Now the limits for template placemeent are given in cartesian coordinates.

For wire-type probes, it could be useful to have a radius: e.g. OPTION 1: xlim: [20, 80] xlim_coord: 'radial' ylim: [-50, 50] ylim_coord: 'cartesian' zlim: [-50, 50] zlim_coord: 'cartesian'

If radial then templates could be located in the cylinder between 20 and 80 um radius around the origin.

OPTION 2: The radial and cartesian coordinates could be combined:

xlim_cart: [0, 100] xlim_rad: [10, 100]

This would place templates in a cylinder on the semispace surrounding the probe.

mainly for monotrodes and tetrodes

I really like this idea. Did you ever implement it?

Not yet! We could have a chat about it @Dradeliomecus :)

I'm on vacation until August 17th. But after this sure :)
