https://neuralensemble.org/docs/PyNN/reference/neuronmodels.html list some of the PyNN modeles. Is this the reference to compare against?

Yes, this is the one to reference, although I think we may also support some extra ones that would be good to list. This could easily be in more than one place or referenced at least since we might want to list them within the tutorials, and as a more general reference.
