Unable to use most hotkeys (Chrome Linux)

I don't know about others, but on my computer, attempting to use pretty much any of the given hotkey doesn't work because the browser ends up catching them, given that these hotkeys are shared by the browser. A couple of them actually preform the desired effect, but also still end up triggering the default function of that hotkey, while others never actually perform the exocortex function

Ctrl + P and Ctrl + S are the Print and Save hotkey for Chrome, so "Preview mode" and 'Save" don't work at all.

Ctrl + E on Chrome moves the cursor to the address bar, basically to prompt the user for a search query. In Exocortex, Edit Mode is initiated, but Chrome still ends up stealing the cursor.

Ctrl + / on Chrome seems to be equivalent to Ctrl + A, and selects all text. So although it does as expected (Toggle Help), it ends up selecting all text in the process.

Edit: I noticed Ctrl + Z also has some issue. I'll end up using the hotkey to undo certain changes, which will cause it to come in and out of "Zen Mode" rapidly.
