Distribution: map for genus does not update to change at included species
The genus Betiscoides had three species with asserted distributions Southern Africa (type species) and Western Cape Province (the other two species). I corrected the locality of the type specimen of Betiscoides meridionalis from Southern Africa (migration error) to South Africa, deleting also the asserted distribution Southern Africa. Now correct map at that species. However, at the genus the distribution still includes Namibia and Botswana. Regenerating DwC of the corresponding COs didn't help. There is an orange warning triangle in the upper right corner of this map, and clicking on it it says:
What does this mean?
Maps displayed in genus pages and higher ranks need to be regenerated to show the changes. For this there is a task that runs on the server, I don't remember exactly the time this task runs, but I think it's weekly. Maybe @mjy can clarify this.
If you see this genus on TaxonPages, you will see the warning triangle, when you click on it you get some information about this. I think we have to include same information on TaxonWorks
Thanks. Seems to be suboptimal in both TW and TP.
Just added a new genus with two species. On TaxonPages the map of Exanimus Kasalo, Tumbrinck & Skejo, 2024 is empty, with a green checkmark in the lower left corner, which upon clicking erroneously says that "Map is synchronized with the latest changes *", in this case contradicted by the asterisked footmark explaining the emptiness.
