Save to SD card
Not knowing how much difficulty this really poses but is the option to change the download folder to SD card on the roadmap? It's truly the last piece for me to make IV perfect but from what I have gathered it is not exactly trivial to implement?
Hi! I think you emailed me too. Sorry, I forgot to answer. The application should be trying to save to the SD Card if you have set up your SD Card as the default external storage, and if you don't accept the permissions requested to do that it will save the files in a writable directory in the internal storage path. So I'm not sure if there's a bug or it's not working as intended. I'm going to test again and let you know what I see.
Hey! Er... That's a thing? I'm on a S10 with Android 10 and all I can google about this makes me think this setting probably either did not transfer from 9 to 10 or is not available Samsung specific...
Maybe If you ever find the time you can implement a general 'change your DL folder' option. When doing correctly (unlike Boost for example....) that in most apps seems to trigger the dialog to allow access to the SD card for the application...
Cheers for responding!
Sure, I'll keep this issue open until it is solved. I'll take a look at this sooner than later.
For what it's worth a decent workaround is to use the share button and send the media content to an app that can intercept and save to the filesystem. I recommend Save to File by XjCook.
