With extended information enabled, the game can crash upon far look
With EXTENDED_INFO enabled, there appears to be some form of stack buffer overflow after examining a monster during a lengthy session
This warning from the changelog is relevant:
Disabled the extended farlook information as using it repeatedly ends up corrupting mons[] over time, causing game instability. Re-enable it by uncommenting EXTENDED_INFO in config.h.
I figured it's worth opening an issue about it because hardfought appears to have it enabled
Do you have any suspicions as to where the problem lies?
