Cool idea 👍
Any idea which free service I could use for that?
I'm not sure what the specific implementation details would be.
Codesandbox has a "live" feature you could look at it their GitHub repository.
As far as a free web service for an API, I think some low cost options would be Digital Ocean, Firebase App, and possibly AWS lambda depending on the implementation.
🙂

I am looking for a free SaaS soluton
Here's a shortcut that doesn't require a service. Generate a URL that encodes the end time (for countdown timers) or the start time (for count-up timers). Start your timer, share a link, and the recipient's timer will be in sync with yours.
Given the small range of possible times, you could probably make a pretty compact encoding scheme.
Nice idea, however I think it would be as easy as everybody managed his own timer. Without a real sync it does not add much value, because you can not pause the time in a synched. way
Thanks @qoomon . Wanted to share my appreciation for the simplicity of your design here. I think it captures the spirit of the original Time Timer quite nicely.
