As i imagine the feature, it would be an option. You would have to check something in the settings page, and/or choose the user from whom the data will be publicly available.

I'm thinking about using Sonerezh as a platform for an artist to freely distribute his songs. That's why I'm looking for this feature.

It would also be nice if it could be interfaced with some external authentification schemes like Basic Authentification, OpenId or some SSO. I personally use Sonerezh behind ApacheAuthTKT (SSO for Apache) and I'm a bit annoyed by the double authentification x)
