Camera feed hags after 1-2 seconds

I just tried the last 3 versions 7,6 and 5 and encountered the same problem. My device is Redmi Note 9 Pro (belongs to miatoll group) Max running LineageOS 19.1 (Android 12)

The camera feed or camera app hangs for after 1-2 seconds. There are a few things working If I manage to switch between wide camera or video mode before it freezes, then the selected mode works fine. But when I switch back to normal mode it freezes again.

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks
