How to reproduce
- Download the 3mf from this model: https://makerworld.com/en/models/732468?from=search#profileId-664135 or open attached (see below)
- Open the 3mf both in Orca as BS
- Compare support settings, note they are basically the same
Actual results
-
Orca adds 5.78gr of support
-
BS adds 1.64gr of support
Expected results
I expected that just opening a 3mf in either Orca or BS would result in a more or less similar amount of support to be added, not a 3x difference

Using BambuStudio v1.9.7.52
Basically the same support settings can still effect it specifically the support threshold angle. My apologies if they are the same.
Thanks, all support settings including threshold angle are the same in both UI's indeed.
Make sure the tree styles are the same between the two. Note: the default style of Orca and Bambu are different.
Hmm thanks. Sorry for asking but which settings should be similar? The help popup for support style in OrcaSlicer points to https://github.com/SoftFever/OrcaSlicer/wiki/#support-styles but that doesnt show any info about support styles.
It seems that only Tree Slim/Hybrid/Strong are somewhat similar, although the calculated filament used for Support differs by a factor of up to 2 still between Orca & BS.
