Optimizing the workflow for multiple printers with multiple colors/materials

Which printers will be beneficial to this feature?

All

Describe the solution you'd like

This is functionality that I was told Bambu Slicer had before I bought a Bambu, let alone multiple, and it never existed.

The way it works now:

  1. I currently have 2 Bambu printers set up, one with 4 ams and one with 1 ams.
  2. I have added all 20 different color/material options between them in Orca Slicer (thank you for upping the limit from 16).
  3. I apply the color/material to the part I want to print
  4. Click Print
  5. Then I have to select the printer I want to send the part to myself

If I'm going through the trouble of setting up all the colors between the systems and Orca Slicer, that means Orca Slicer has enough context to know what printer the part should go to, but it automatically defaults to the last used printer instead of which printer has the selected color/material. This functionality should probably be a fallback for if someone mistakenly adds multiple color/materials that aren't on a selected printer, and users could still manually change their selections. image

This feature would just be smart enough to help the user skip a few annoying clicks if they have everything set up image

Describe alternatives you've considered

Suffering slow process due to color successes 😎
