OrcaSlicer Version

2.3.1

Operating System (OS)

Windows

OS Version

Windows 11

Additional system information

No response

Printer

MyKlipper 0.6 nozzle

How to reproduce

With Wipe while retracting currently enabled, and Use firmware retraction currently disabled:

  1. Open Printer settings
  2. Check Use firmware retraction
  3. Save/Close
  4. Slice, Export & inspect G-code file
  5. Re-open Printer settings
  6. Switch to Extruder 1
  7. NOW the warning prompt appears

Actual results

  1. There is no initial warning prompt.
  2. Slicing produces gcode with both firmware retract G10/G11 AND nozzle wipes.
  3. Prints have extreme underextrusion artifacts around seams, surface edges, and elsewhere.

Expected results

The prompt to disable Wipe while retracting should appear either immediately after enabling Use firmware retraction, or after closing Printer settings, not when switching to the Extruder 1 tab (from Basic information).

Anything else?

My first bug report went unseen and automatically closed as stale, presumably because I didn't give it a serious enough title, so here we are again. I'd link to the previous report, but I'm concerned that would cause this to (again) be automatically closed, and this needs eyes. Thanks.

(As just a UI issue, it should be an easy fix, but this UI issue has severe consequences atm - total print failure.)
