Match wallet address with IP & ban
I want to ban asic but not sure what their IP is how can I match IP with wallet or ban wallet permanently?
How do you know if a miner is an ASIC or rigs ? Don’t setup pool with old cryptonight algorithm. Like that you can ban all ASICs.
I am running Aeon pool and yes I know, I have been crying for PoW changes for long time. I ask them nicely to leave and they seem to have left but I still would like to know how I can ban them in future I was unable to easily find their IP unless they submitted duplicated share or something unless I am missing something :(
Snipa did not implement wallet ban on this repo. I often use firewall to ban IPs. It is more effective and less ressource consumption for pools. They can not change their IPs forever.
A lot of ASIC miners are just normal miners who bought Baikal by mistake. Aeon will fork this month. Poor them ! They are victims, too.
ASIC manufacturers have their own pools to mine (huge hashrate). They don’t need to mine on public pools.
