Feature Request: Photogrammetry for Rotarymodule + Lasermodule Camera
It would be a neat feature, if luban could scan the geometry of the workpiece in the rotary module, using the camera of the laser module. This would make so much better use of the snapmakers mechanic compared to other laser engravers. The surface would always be in the laser focus, even if the width of the object varies. It could also automatically detect obstacles, like handles.
Example:
- Clamp mug into rotary module.
- Start photogrammetry in luban.
- The mug rotates, the camera of the laser module takes several photos.
- Luban stitches the photos together as a 3D model.
- Luban unfolds the surface area, to get a workable 2D plane for laserwork.
- Luban marks unusable areas red (for example the handle of the mug)
- the laser focus is always on the surface of the mug, even if the mug isn't the same width from top to bottom
