Looks like AWDL was off on your device. Otherwise it should have an IPv6 address. You don't need OWL for running it on a Mac. I'd suggest to open AirDrop...
I agree with @Trup3s that this is likely a date formatting issue. I would not switch to something without text. The text makes it easier to understand what is happening....
