Dark Steel Ladders won't let you climb up

If you go down on Dark Steel Ladders for even a second, it won't let you climb up at all, and will force you to go all the way to the bottom. This is very annoying because my base has a ladder shaft that goes from y11 to around y130. Please fix.

Relevant info: I am on the latest version of the mod, and my Forge version is 14.23.5.2854.
