Screen turns off when answering a call and stays turned off when call ends

I was watching a video when an incoming phone call came. I answered and when I brought the phone to my ear, the screen went black (as it should during phone calls). But then, when the call ended, the screen stayed turned off and the video continued playing (even though I didn't see the video, just heard the sound). The only way to turn the screen back on was to press the power button twice - first to "lock" the screen and then second time to unlock it and then input the unlock key.
