[Question] Component Definition Author and Description

I am curious to know if there an API to get and set the Author of a Component Definition.

For instance, in the component browser of SU2023, I see 'By SketchUp' for the Heather component? But 'Unknown' for others...

By the way, there seems to be a problem in the Component browser to display the Description:

For Heather: see image above. The (long) description is NOT shown in the list item.

For Chair: Description is correctly shown in the list item.

For Table: Description is NOT shown in the list item, although it is defined, and unlike Chair.

No API for that, no. Some dictionaries, such as contributors and live component is marked as Read Only.

And how do you assign an Author to a component manually in Sketchup?

Author appears when you download it from 3D Warehouse. So you have to upload it and download again... You can see credits in model stadistics

You need to be signed in, then from Model Info > Credits, Claim Credits
