You can configure Breadcrumbs to do this. Breadcrumbs settings -> Views -> Matrix/List View -> Enable Alphabetical Sorting.

NB: I think that should be default.

I mean, I have enabled alphabetical sorting, but now the ordering would be 1, 10, 11, 12,...,2, 21..., rather than 1, 2, 3,...,9,10,11,12,...

To offer some additional information: I have a set of sequentially numbered notes in a folder. I get around the "alphabetical sort puts things in '1, 10, 11,..' order" issue by filling out all digits with 0 (that is, if I'm not intending more than 99 notes in a given sequence, I number 01, 02, 03, 04, etc). Matrix list accepts this without issue: image But the same folder, viewed with the Tree view: image I did a quick check of file attributes - this doesn't follow date last modified or date created (which were my first few guesses). The Create Index function is doing something WEIRD. So I test changing the titles to alphabetical sequencing - replacing 01 with A, 02 with B, etc. I try the first three and see: image It is ... very odd.
