.webp graphics file missing in static 7z archive
Right now, my website uses only one .webp graphics file but this .webp file is currently not packaged into the exported 7z archive for the static website.
Could it be that this has something to do with the latest simply-static update 3.2.7.2, which also is described with
Extended img attribute list with "data-srcset" and "data-bg"
Love your plugin!
Best regards Thomas
Hey @its-thomas,
just gave it a test, but it still works fine!
Did you use one of the recommended plugins and implementations?
We generally recommend using the <picture> tag implementation instead of relying on .htaccess (because these often don't work on static sites).
I've tested two of our recommended plugins with success:
Thanks so much for your quick reply!
I created this .webp graphic manually and simply uploaded it into the wordpress gallery (so I am not using any specific .webp plugin, just Wordpress Oxygen version 4.9.1 as a builder).
@its-thomas then it's probably about the markup - I remember we had issues with some of the Oxygen elements and extracting their attributes.
Do you have the result somewhere live so I can take a look?
@patrickposner I want to stress that it has definitely worked before with basically the same setup. The last time the .webp graphic was correctly packaged into the archive was probably on the 9th of March 2025 (which was even before release of static-site version 3.2.7.1)
Here is the gallery div code of the graphic in question: https://privatebin.net/?f7446e509ae770d4#DQWfJ33EvhyE94mpZBFa2ySJYE3UjibGEecDEsM2u9Z3
Just tested it again with:
Wordpress version 6.8.1 Simple Static version 3.2.8.1
The Problem has been solved: The .webp file is again packaged into the exported 7z archive.
Thanks so much, @patrickposner 👍
